Corus Chess Tournament 2008

The Corus Chess Tournament 2008 was held from 11-27 January 2008 in Wijk aan Zee, The Netherlands.

Levon Aronian and Magnus Carlsen drew their games in the final round, and are the joint winners of the 70th Corus Chess Tournament Grandmaster Group A.

The Corus Chess Tournament consists of three main tournaments, Grandmaster groups A, B and C. The format of play is the round robin system, where each competitor plays in turn against every other during the tournament. All three Grandmaster groups have 14 players. This tournament regularly attracts the top chess players in the world and this year is no exception.
